Canada Nepal Gender in Organizations Project (CNGO)

CNGO is a five-year project (September 1999-March 2005) designed to promote good governance and the transition to gender equality in Nepal. A major goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity of district-based NGOs to be Gender Resource Organizations that are capable of providing training, advice, program delivery and other services on gender equality to local communities, other NGOs, and district government bodies. CNGO also contributed to strengthening an enabling environment for NGOs and gender equality at the district and national levels.
